Ten fire trucks remain at the scene of a fire at a cafe in Waikato, which at one stage threatened two neighbouring houses.
The Fire Service was alerted to the blaze on Owairaka Valley Road in Te Awamutu at about 6.30pm.
It said the building was well involved when crews arrived, but the fire has now been brought under control.
It was too early to say if it was considered suspicious.
Nobody was inside the cafe at the time.
