Auckland commuters heading south face significant delays tonight following four separate road accidents on the Southern Motorway.
Police have dealt with accidents on the south-bound lanes of the motorway near Greenlane, just after the Ellerslie off-ramp and just after the Mt Wellington off-ramp.
Part of the motorway was also closed earlier today after a truck struck several light poles near the Redoubt Road off-ramp.
The truck driver is now in hospital in a critical condition.
