A body believed to be that of a missing German tramper has been found near the Homer Tunnel, in Fiordland National Park.

Police said the body of a woman was found after snow in the area melted.
They believe it could be German tourist Christine Lenicker, who was last seen in late March after parking her car in the Homer Tunnel car park and heading off on a hike.
