Police have revealed there had already been a shooting at a house near Thames where an armed man was shot and killed by officers at the weekend.

Vaughan Te Moananui, 33, died after being shot at the Kopu address on Saturday afternoon.
But police investigations revealed shots had already been fired at the Campbell Street house earlier that day and a Paeroa man received a superficial injury to his leg.
Police said a member of the public reported hearing shots about 2.30am on Saturday.
