Police are searching for an armed man after a bank robbery in west Auckland.

The man, who had a gun, fled with money after threatening a teller at the BNZ on Great North Road in Henderson about 9am.
Police said no one was injured but the man remained on the loose in the Auckland region. They believed he was still armed.
They have been looking for Steven Peri, 36, in connection with the robbery, and said he should be considered dangerous.
People have been advised not to approach him but instead to call the police.
