A crash involving four vehicles that blocked part of State Highway Two in Wellington has now been cleared.
The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) said the accident at the Ngauranga Interchange created major congestion on the northbound traffic network, affecting those travelling from Wellington to the Hutt Valley.
At about 7pm, NZTA said the congestion had cleared.

A police spokesman said the accident happened shortly after 5.30pm and all emergency services attended.
He said four vehicles were involved and a van flipped onto its side, blocking the left-hand lane.
Nobody was injured in the crash.
