A 22-year-old man will appear in the Dunedin District Court today charged with murdering a woman on Friday night in the suburb of Waldronville.
The dead woman was 48-year-old Vicki Lee Warrington.
A second charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm has also been laid in regard to a man found outside the property.
Those injuries are not life-threatening.
About 20 investigators, and other police staff and specialist teams, have been working on the case.
Police are asking for anyone who may have recently visited or been in contact with the occupants of 349 Brighton Road in Waldronville to contact them.
