A murder charge has been laid against a 25-year-old woman in relation to a fatal stabbing in Wellington early this month.

The charge relate to an incident on 1 July in the suburb of Johnsonville when a man was killed and four other people were injured in a knife attack.
Three fresh charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm were also laid during a hearing this morning at Wellington District Court.
The woman was not in court for the hearing and name suppression was extended.
Her attendance was excused by the judge as she remains in the care of a forensic psychiatric unit.
