Two serious car crashes in Waikato early this morning have left a 30-year-old male motorcylist dead and a 16-year-old girl seriously injured.
Baverstock Road, on the north-western outskirts of Hamilton, is closed while the police investigate the motorcycle crash.
The Waikino Gorge is also closed while the police try to recover the young woman's vehicle.
They said she was trapped in her car for some time, but has now been evacuated to Waikato Hospital by helicopter.
