Girl's post mortem proves inconclusive

A post mortem on the body of a pre-schooler who died in Auckland on Friday has proved inconclusive and police are awaiting the results of more tests.

They say the girl's mother called them to a house in Onehunga early yesterday morning.

The mother was then taken to Auckland Hospital with superficial injuries, they said.

Polie are not looking not for anyone else in connection with the death.

Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Baldwin, said Interpol was helping to try to contact family members overseas and the child's name will not be released until all next of kin have been advised.
