A police chase ended when a car crashed in Lower Hutt this afternoon.
Police arrested the two people involved in the chase about 2pm, near McDonalds, on High Street.
Inspector John Spence said the pair were assisting police with their enquiries.
"There was a small pursuit which ended in one vehicle crashing and two persons are currently in custody, assisting us with enquiries."
