A man who installed cameras so he could film his sexual abuse of a five-year-old girl he was baby-sitting has been jailed for nine years and six months.
Darron Fisher, 49, was sentenced in the Wellington District Court today after earlier pleading guilty to a range of charges including rape, sexual violation and making objectionable material.
Fisher had originally been jailed for 16 months for a sexual attack on the child but, when new material came to light, more than 30 fresh charges were laid.
He was also jailed today for a 2004 sexual attack on a nine-year-old girl.
Judge Ian Mill ordered Fisher to serve at least half the sentence, meaning it will be at least four years and nine months before he can seek parole.
