Poultry farm fined for illegal workers

A poultry farming business has been fined for employing five Samoans who should not have been in New Zealand.

Henry's Poultry in Levin has admitted taking on the staff when they did not have have visas.

One other person was working for the firm on a visitor visa.

The company has been fined $7500.

The people found to be working unlawfully have either left the country or have now got the right visa to continue working.
