A head-on crash in Waikato has killed a man and put another three people in hospital, including a 6-year-old boy.

The accident happened at about 4.30pm on Paterangi Road in Te Awamutu.
A south-bound vehicle apparently crossed the centre line on a corner and collided with a vehicle coming the other way, according to a rescue helicopter crew sent to the scene.
The pilots said the south-bound driver died at the scene.
A trapped woman in her 60s and a 6-year-old boy in the other vehicle were flown to Waikato Hospital.
Another young boy, with less serious injuries, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
