Flowers to garland museum show

4:10 pm on 31 January 2016

A river of flowers will run through the centre of an exhibition commemorating the fifth anniversary of the 22 February earthquake at Canterbury Museum.

The exhibition opens tomorrow and runs until the end of the month.

It will include poetry and stories, along with the paper flowers made by local school children.

Visitors are also being encouraged to write about the quakes and their lives during the past five years.

Throughout February, the museum will hold weekend workshops where people can create paper flowers and poems to add to the exhibition.
