Police investigating a shooting in Auckland say they're following several positive lines of enquiry to locate those responsible.
One person is in hospital after being shot in the legs with a hand gun just after 2.30 this afternoon, in the suburb of New Windsor.
Detective Sergeant Richard Sami said police want to assure the public that there is no immediate danger to their safety.
The scene in Rosamund Avenue will be kept under guard overnight.
