Wellington's mental health services will be reviewed after a string of attacks by people who were mentally ill.

The review of Capital and Coast District Health Board (DHB) services will be overseen by the Ministry of Health.
A DHB spokesperson said the review had been sparked by recent serious incidents in which mental health issues had been raised.
They included the killing of a nurse on the Kapiti Coast last year. A 30-year-old man was yesterday found not guilty of the murder, due to insanity.
The DHB said the review would also consider the case of Richard Hawkins, who was found not guilty due to insanity of a stabbing in Waikanae last year.
The Ministry of Health said the review would be done by a senior psychiatrist who did not currently work for the DHB.
It said there were no plans for a national review.
