Christchurch police have asked for help in identifying a man who wielded a knife in a fast-food store this morning.
The man, in his late 30s or early 40s, entered the store in Buckley's Road, Linwood, and pulled out a closed pocket knife.
The store worker called the police. The man left the store before they arrived.
Police said he had become agitated but did not open the knife or threaten the worker.
They described him as about 167cm tall, thin, and wearing black gloves.
