An apartment and shopping complex in an upmarket suburb on Auckland's North Shore has been given the go-ahead after being scaled-back.
Planning approval has been given for 167 apartments and an expanded shopping mall at Milford.
The two-stage development includes a large four-storey building with a six-storey residential block on top, and a second nine-storey apartment complex.
The development by New Zealand Retail Property Group is smaller than one it put up nearly four years ago, when it argued for a change to planning rules in the Milford Centre area.
The company said the apartments would be luxury ones, and the development would refurbish and invigorate the existing Milford town centre.
