Two men will appear in court in Auckland tomorrow following an assault on a police dog handler in Otahuhu .
Police said the officer was knocked unconscious during a routine stop of a car in Bairds Road in Otahuhu, at 3.50am yesterday.
The pair, aged 21 and 17, have been charged with injuring with intent. They will appear in the Manukau District Court tomorrow.
The officer has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.
