A lamb farmer from Gore has been awarded the top prize at Beef + Lamb New Zealand's Golden Lamb awards, also known as the Glammies.
Don Morrison beat 20 other finalists, with his Growbulk lamb being named the most tender and tasty.
The trophy for the champion meat retailer went to Countdown South Island, and the winning processor was Alliance, at Mataura.
The winners were announced at the Upper Clutha A&P Show in Wanaka.
