A new study has found the changeable exchange rate is the number one concern for farmers.
ANZ Bank has issued the findings of a survey of about 5000 privately owned businesses and has included agribusinesses for the first time.
Of the 750 farmers surveyed, 44% said exchange rate movements were the main issue for their business.
That was followed by commodity price movement and climatic variation.
The most pressing long-term issue was succession planning.
The survey also found only 64% of farmers prepare an annual budget.
