PSA disease now suspected in Hawke's Bay

6:38 am on 12 October 2012

Kiwifruit Vine Health says it is testing a suspected case of PSA-V found in a Hawke's Bay orchard.

If the results come back positive, it will be the first time the kiwifruit vine-killing disease has been found in that region.

The results are expected on Friday afternoon.

This follows the confirmed spread of the bacterial disease into new areas in two other regions this week, the Karapiro district in Waikato and Clevedon area in Franklin, south of Auckland.
