NZer now leads world dairy federation

The International Dairy Federation has elected a New Zealander as its new president.

Fonterra director of research, science and technology Dr Jeremy Hill was elected at the Federation's world dairy summit which is underway this week at Cape Town in South Africa.

The International Dairy Federation is a science-based organisation, founded in 1903 to represent the dairy sector worldwide.

Its membership accounts for about 85% of the world's milk production in more than 50 countries.
