Chilean reps in NZ to look at PSA response

2:55 pm on 29 January 2013

Kiwifruit industry representatives from Chile have visited New Zealand to see first hand how the sector is dealing with the vine-killing disease PSA.

The delegation from Chile's department of agriculture visited Plant and Food Research, Zespri, Kiwifruit Vine Health and other organisations as it finds out how New Zealand is responding to the bacterial disease.

PSA has broken out in two kiwifruit growing regions in Chile - affecting 3000 of the total 12,000 hectares of kiwifruit planted in the South American country.
