The New Zealand shearing team competing in a test series in Britain has had success south of the border.
James Fagan from Te Kuiti and John Kirkpatrick from Napier won their contest against the English team of Adam Berry and Mark Fox, at the Lakelands Shears during the weekend.
They lost the first two tests of the tour against Scotland.
The pair also took the first two placings in the Lakelands Shears open, and John Kirkpatrick's nephew, Ian, from Gisborne, won the senior title.
The New Zealanders now head to a four-test series in Wales.
