Zespri says it's had a great start to the export kiwifruit marketing season.
Chief executive Lain Jager says sales, after two and a half months, are on a par with last year despite "challenging" market conditions.
He expects returns "around the same level of last season" which were 67 cents per tray higher than the previous season.
Zespri expects to sell close to 100 million trays of kiwifruit this year.
