Fonterra has called for nominations for three places on its board and 14 positions on its farmer shareholders council that are up for election.
Three farmer directors, Colin Armer, Stuart Nattrass and John Wilson, will retire by rotation this year and will have to stand again if they want a further three year term on the board.
On the shareholders council, representatives in 12 wards are retiring by rotation and elections will also be held to fill vacancies in two other wards .
The elections will be held during October and November.
