'Snow shout' still on at Oxford

1:49 pm on 12 September 2013

Organisers of a "snow shout" planned at the Oxford Rugby Club in North Canterbury on Thursday evening say it is definitely going ahead, despite the widespread disruption from this week's wind storm.

The shout had been planned as a thank you to all the people and organisations who helped farmers with stock rescuing operations during the big snow storm in June.

Doug Archbold of the North Canterbury Rural Support Trust says people helping with the clean up from this week's wild winds are also invited to the function, which starts at 5.30pm.

There will be another "snow shout" at the Hurunui Cafe near Culverden next Thursday.
