Angus cattle farmers are showing off their pasture-fed methods to their global counterparts this week.
About 450 farmers and delegates are attending the World Angus Forum in Rotorua.
The event marks 150 years since the introduction to New Zealand of Angus cattle, now the country's most numerous beef breed.
Organising committee chairman Tim Brittain says farmers have come from North and South America, Europe, Australia and throughout New Zealand for the forum, which began on Sunday.
He says the forum will cover issues including genomics, free trade, human health, marketing and consumer trends.
An inter-country youth challenge is taking place with 40 young people from around the world competing.
