More sheep dog trials have been stopped due to the dry conditions across the South Island.

Several dog trials scheduled for Otago, Canterbury and Marlborough were cancelled last month as drought conditions put pressure on farms hosting the events, and the sheep.
Since then, two more trial events in Northern Hawke's Bay have been cancelled, one scheduled for Tikokino next month and another at Wairoa, because of concerns there about the water supply and sheep suffering from staggers.
