Pink, blue bales show farmers' support

8:37 am on 30 September 2015

Blue and pink silage film wrap will again be available this year for farmers wanting to raise awareness of breast and prostate cancer.

The crop packaging company, Agpac, is behind the idea of the colourful bales and said it wanted to continue to raise awareness of both cancers in rural communities.

General manager Chris Dawson said the intiative began with pink silage wrap and was expanded to include bright blue wrap for prostate cancer.

Mr Dawson said the blue and pink bales lined roadsides around the country for the first time last year and helped to raise funds for Sweet Louise, a charitable trust that supports women with terminal breast cancer.
