Police investigating the shooting of a Manawatu farmer are visiting the Feilding stockyards on Friday looking for information about thefts of guns and ammunition.
Scott Guy, 31, was shot at the end of the driveway of his farm, just outside Feilding, on 8 July.
Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger says the shotgun used to kill him has not been found. It may have been a stolen weapon.
She says not all thefts are reported, so the police hope speaking directly with the farm community may yield vital clues.
