7:11 am on 9 February 2011

New Zealand fruit exporters will be busy at the world's largest fresh produce trade fair, which opens in Germany on Wednesday.

Fruit Logistica in Berlin runs for three days and will host more than 2300 exhibitors.

The exhibitors will include New Zealand's biggest pipfruit exporter ENZA, which is unveiling a new stand at the expo as it gears up for the coming apple selling season.

ENZA general manager Snow Hardy says it will be expanding exports of its flagship Jazz apple variety.

It is expecting to sell more than a million cartons of Jazz in Europe and Britain this season.

Mr Hardy says ENZA will also use the expo to introduce its new Envy apple variety to Europe and will be promoting its new red and gold kiwifruit varieties.

New Zealand kiwifruit marketer Zespri also has a site and a team at Fruit Logistica.
