Roosters pull one out of the hat over Rabbitohs

The Sydney Roosters pulled off a great escape in last night's NRL match with a try 19 seconds from time to secure a 24-20 over their arch-rivals South Sydney.

The Rabbitohs seemed to have secured a season-opening win when they led 20-12 with three minutes to play.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves carried four defenders over the line for what seemed to be a late consolation try for the Roosters, but a stunning last gasp effort ended with a match-winning try which started from their 20-metre line and was finished off by Anthony Minichello.
