Van Wyk to make test debut for Black Caps

Kruger van Wyk will make his test cricket debut against the country of his birth having been named in the New Zealand side play South Africa in the first test whic starts in Dunedin tomorrow.

The Central Districts wicketkeeper, moved to New Zealand six years ago from Pretoria and comes in for BJ Watling, who's failed a fitness test on his injured hip.

Watling scored his maiden test hundred in New Zealand's last test, against Zimbabwe in Napier last month.

Van Wyk who's 31 has been the leading run scorer on the domestic scene this summer and will come up against several players he came through the South African system alongside.
