Patched-up Blues face near must-win at Loftus

6:35 pm on 10 March 2012

Beaten in their first two Super Rugby matches, the Blues face what's become almost a must-win overnight in Pretoria, when they face the Bulls.

And the Blues have a bit of a pached up look about them - they travelled to South Africa without senior stars Jerome Kaino and Rudi Wulf, and they've also lost Michael Hobbs and Isaia Toeava this week.

But the Blues coach Pat Lam says he's put the hard word on his players and he needs his experienced forwards like Williams, Boric and Braid to deliver at Loftus Versfeld.

Lam says Loftus is a cauldron and the opening stanza will be fire and brimstone.

Kickoff's around 6.10am.
