Volvo pipped for third on 4th leg

The crew on the Team New Zealand boat Camper admit it was a gutwrenching that they couldn't grab a higher place at the end of the 4th leg of the Volvo Ocean race into Auckland.

The New Zealanders were 4th, just 50 metres or 90 seconds behind Telefonica and less than an hour behind second placed Puma.

Camper is now third in the overall standings.

Crewmember Tony Rae says it was great sailing into Auckland with so many boats out to greet them.

The winner of the fourth leg, France's Groupama, crossed the line at midnight last night.
