The former world golf number one Tiger Woods has withdrawn the WGC-Cadillac Championship in Florida with an Achilles tendon injury, raising doubts about his fitness for next month's Masters at Augusta National.

Woods was limping during his final round when he abruptly called it quits and left the course after completing 11 holes.

He was three-over-par for the round and seemingly out of contention to win the tournament.

The injury come just as the 14-times major champion beginning to show signs of his old form having finished tied for second at last week's PGA tour event the Hodna Classic.
