Warriors open their NRL account against Eels

The Warriors opened their account in the NRL last night with an action-packed 36-20 win over the Parramatta Eels last night in Sydney.

Last year's beaten grand finalists, inspired by 16 points from five eighth James Moloney, had conceded two early tries to the Eels, but they scored six of their own, including two long range efforts in the last five minutes to seal the result.

The Warriors winger Manu Vatuvei was put on report for a high shot on Willie Tonga, and coach Brian McLennan is hoping the NRL judiciary consider Vatuvei's good record when they look into his case tonight.
