The South African Super Rugby side the Cheetahs has beaten the Hurricanes 47-38 in a try-fest at Wellington's Westpac Stadium.
The scores were tied at half-time at 32-32 with both teams scoring the four-try bonus point.
The Hurricanes looked like they were playing exhibition rugby with four long-range tries following turnovers before the break, but the Cheetahs matched them on the scoreboard at least and the hosts could only add two penalties after the break to the visitors' two tries.
Canes hooker Dane Coles opened the scoring before Cheetahs second five Andries Strauss crossed after some sustained pressure but it wasn't long before Canes first five Beauden Barrett added to his growing reputation by finishing a magnicent try starting with a turnover well inside their own half.
Fullback Andre Taylor finished off another long-range move after a turnover as the Wellington-based side's support play was again excellent, as it was in the one-point win at the Blues last weekend. And TJ Perenara backed up wing Julian Savea for the fourth try before the break to leave the Cheetahs shell-shocked.
But the visitors shook it off to run in three tries and tie the game. Fullback Hennie Daniller replied almost immediately, followed by wing Ryno Benjamin for the Cheetahs' third and prop Coenie Oosthuizen for their fourth.
And the Cheetahs' forwards bossed the second half, a dominant scrum giving them the first try of the second spell with prop WP Nel eventually going over.
Then Oosthuizen scored his second to extend the Cheetahs' lead to nine points with just over 10 minutes remaining.
Barrett kicked seven from nine attempts, including five penalties.
