The New Zealand V8 Supercar driver Shane van Gisbergen has shown he's ready to defend his title in Hamilton in three weeks with two good results in the latest round in Tasmania.
22-year-old van Gisbergen finished second on Sunday behind the champion Jaime Whincup after finishing fourth in Saturday's sprint race, and he's improved to fourth in the championship, 39 points behind third-placed Mark Winterbottom.
Will Davison still leads the championship by 18 points from Whincup.
