Australian's Super Rugby teams appear to be paying the price for the Wallabies' northern tour late last year.
After six rounds of Super Rugby, the sixth-placed Brumbies are the only Australian team with a positive record, and the former Wallaby and Australian selector Tim Horan has identified only the Waratahs utility back Adam Ashley-Cooper and Western Force skipper David Pocock as the lone in-form internationals.
The Australian Rugby Union scheduled the late season tour last year to raise revenue in a restrictive World Cup season, but Horan, a dual World cup winner, believes players should be given 10-12 weeks off after a World Cup.
And Argentina's admission to the old Tri Nations will see that tournament extend into October, making it even tougher to back up on tour.
