Gold Coast take Perth to decider

5:44 am on 5 April 2012

Gold Coast Blaze are still alive in the Australian National Basketball League playoffs after surviving a Perth Wildcats comeback in game two of their semi-final series for a 72-70 win on the Gold Coast.

The Queenslanders surrendered a 20-5 first quarter lead and several seven-point advantages as the six-time champions came at them again and again.

Perth were controversially called for an offensive foul and a basket was ruled out with less than 30 seconds left, before Gold Coast scored the winning two points from the free throw line.

The deciding game is in Perth on Saturday night.
