The Central Pulse have beaten the Southern Steel 47-42 in their ANZ Championship netball clash in Napier.
It is the first time the Pulse have ever beaten the Steel, while it is the first win for coach Robyn Broughton over her old team.
The Pulse led throughout the match and were up by 10 goals at one stage in the final quarter before the Steel fought back to close the margin.
Both sides have now won a match and lost a match this season.
