The Breakers have drawn first blood in their ANBL grand final series after a thrilling overtime victory in game one of the grand final series at a sold out Vector Arena.

American Cedric Jackson led the home side with 25 points with CJ Bruton contributing 20, including several clutch three pointers in overtime which effectively sealed the result.

The Breakers could make it back-to-back ANBL titles in Perth, and forward Dillon Boucher says they plan to go there to wrap it up but says they know only too well what a different proposition the Wildcats will be at home.

The Breakers injured star Tom Abercrombie played no part in last night's game which was watched by 9,125 fans, a record for a basketball game in New Zealand.
