Ferguson insists bad blood with kayaking team-mate thing of the past

Kayaker Steven Ferguson says the bad blood between him and New Zealand Olympic team-mate Ben Fouhy is a thing of the past and won't disrupt their preparations for this year's London Games.

While yet to be rubber stamped by the New Zealand Olympic Committee, Canoe New Zealand has confirmed its Olympic squad with Ferguson and 21-year-old Darryl Fitzgerald set to compete in the K2 1000 and Fouhy in the K1 1000.

Ferguson and Fouhy were at the centre of a public bust up which resulted in the latter quitting the sport in 2011, however Fouhy's since returned to the fold to fight for his second Olympic gold.

The K2 pair will be hoping to win their first medal in London and Ferguson says his spat with Fouhy is water under the bridge.
