Team New Zealand's round the world race entry Camper is enjoying fast downwind sailing conditions, as the boat enters the final stages of Leg Five to Brazil.

For the first time since leaving Auckland the wet weather jackets aren't in use, with Camper now having 650 kilometres to go to Itajai.

They're expected to arrive in Brazil tomorrow a month after leaving Auckland but will have only a four day turnaround to prepare for an in-port race and the start the of leg six to Miami the following day.

Camper was forced to suspend racing for four days when they diverted to Puerto Montt in Chile earlier this month to repair bow damage.
