The New Zealand V8 Supercar driver Greg Murphy has been declared fit to race in this weekend's race in Hamilton having recovered from a back injury.
Murphy says his surgeon gave him the all clear yesterday, however he was always reasonably confident of being fit.
A crash during qualifying for the opening round Clipsal 500 in Adelaide put Murphy in hospital and he missed the second round in Tasmania after having back surgery.
Murphy currently sits at the bottom of the V8 Supercars points table having only completed one of four races.
He last won the New Zealand round at Pukekohe in 2005.
