Formula One motor racing officials have reassured everyone involved with this weekend's Bahrain grand prix of their safety after a firebomb exploded near Force India team members as they were returning from the Sakhir circuit to their hotel.
One team member has chosen to return home as a result of the blast, but chairman of the Grand Prix Drivers Association, Pedro de la Rosa, said safety was "not a concern" despite political tensions in the kingdom.
And the Bahrain International Circuit chairman Zayed Alzayani says the race should go ahead as a beacon of hope for the future.
